On November 19, 2010, the IACC celebrated its 123rd Annual Gala at the elegant Mandarin Oriental Hotel, located at Columbus Circle in Manhattan. The evening was attended by nearly 300 guests, including chamber members, representatives of New York's Italian institutions, prominent government and business leaders from both the U.S. and Italy, and members of the foreign and local press.
During the course of the evening, our 2010 Business and Culture Award was presented to RAI Corporation, in recognition of its role as a dominant force in the development, shaping and expansion of Italian culture in the United States. Massimo Magliaro, Chairman & CEO, was on hand to accept the award on behalf of RAI Corporation, which has represented RAI, the Italian public broadcaster, in the Americas for the past fifty years. During this time, it has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing a forum for the diffusion and appreciation of all things Italian for native Italians, Italian-Americans and all lovers of Italian culture.
Several longtime IACC members celebrating membership milestones were also honored during the dinner. Pavia & Harcourt LLP and RAI Corporation received Fifty Year Membership Awards, while 25-Year Recognitions were presented to Central Holidays and Marco Polo International.
The 2010 event was one of our organization’s most successful and best-attended Galas in recent history and was a memorable evening for all who attended. We hope you will be able to join us next year!
