Membre d' Honneur to L'Académie du Vin de Bordeaux.

*Mr. Sape has been active in wine and food organizations for many years, including as a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux, where he serves as the Maître; the Chevaliers du Tastevin; the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs; Les Amis de la Table; the Commanderie du Bontemps de Médoc et Graves; the Hospitaliers de Pomerol; and the Commanderie des Costes du Rhône. In 2002, Mr. Sape was named Chevalier dans l'Ordre National du Mérite by the government of France. On May 5, 2011, he was appointed to the National Order of the Legion of Honour (Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur), the highest decoration in France.
