On April 20th, J.P. Morgan and the IACC welcomed over 60 guests for an evening reception and panel discussion at the Campari Group headquarters.
In a discussion moderated by Marco Mariano, Head of Commercial Banking for Italy and Carlos Perez, Northeast Industry Executive for Multinational Corporations, fellow Italian and American business executives examined the challenges and opportunities facing their businesses in the year ahead.

On April 26th IACC members joined us for another edition of our "A Night at Fotografiska" event series. Fotografiska is the city’s hottest destination to discover world-class photography, eclectic programming, elevated dining and surprising new perspectives.
Attendees were treated to a complimentary tour of Fotografiska’s current exhibition, Elizaveta Porodina’s exhibition Un/Masked and Hip-Hop: Conscious, Unconscious.

On May 3rd over 35 IACC's Young Executives joined us for our first Fireside Chat in 2023 with CEO of QNY Creative, Ezio Burani.
Members had the opportunity to listen first hand to Ezio as he shared his knowledge and insights gleaned during his multi-year career in the Marketing and Food & Beverage and Hospitality industry and answered questions from early-career professionals and aspiring young leaders.

On May 17, we hosted "Meet the Lenders," an informational webinar in partnership with the Small Business Administration. During this session, SBA Economic Development Specialist Man-Li Lin moderated a panel discussion with ten different lenders from major commercial banks, and participants had the opportunity to learn about the SBA’s Lender Match and Financing Programs included.
On May 23, we invited members to join us for “What Comes Next: The Future of Crypto Currency” at the offices of Pryor Cashman. During the program, a panel of experts explored the future of cryptocurrency following the recent collapse of FTX, a major cryptocurrency company, and explored the potential regulations needed to protect consumers, investors, the banking system and other major players in the sector. Many thanks to our host, Pryor Cashman, and to our knowledgeable panelists: Eric Segal (Managing Director, CFO Consulting Partners), Demetris Papademetriou (Partner, Middlemarch Partners), Serge Sondak (Partner & CEO, Gloren Consulting) and Jeff Alberts (Partner, Pryor Cashman).

IACC member Piazza Italia, the first and only project that directly connects the Italian jewelry network and the U.S. retail community invited fellow members to their Madison Avenue location for a Meet the Member event on May 25. Guests mingled and networked while enjoying great Italian wines and shopping for the finest Italian jewelry with special rates for friends and family.

On June 21, the IACC hosted a practical information session in collaboration with the Small Business Administration titled "Access to Capital," during which Economic Development Specialist Man-Li Lin instructed participants about the different loan options available to small businesses. Attendees learned how to prepare for the application process and gained insight into what lenders look for in a loan application.
On June 28, Luca Bonardi and Cameron Taheri, Partners at KPMG LLP, held a practical and informative virtual session for IACC members exploring the U.S.-Italy Advance Pricing Agreement Program. The APA program allows taxpayers and multinational corporations with substantial business operations in both countries to agree up-front on the treatment of cross-border transactions, thereby avoiding double tax and costly audits. Thanks to Luca and Cameron for sharing their expertise with our members and to KPMG for their ongoing support and programming partnership.
The IACC held its Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, June 29. During the meeting, IACC leadership shared a summary of 2022 events and initiatives, reported on the year-end financial statements, and provided members with a look into upcoming projects for the second half of 2023. On September 7th, IACC Members joined us for a webinar on the Employee Retention Credit.
The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) – sometimes called the Employee Retention Tax Credit or ERTC – is a refundable tax credit for businesses and tax-exempt organizations that had employees and were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this webinar we were joined by Michelle Schneider, Tax Principal and Carolina Spera, Senior Accounting Services Manager and Italian Practice Leader at IACC member GRASSI, whom provided participants with an in depth overview of this pandemic relief program and explain the requisites businesses need to qualify for the tax credit.
On September 19th, over 70 IACC Members joined us for our first "Meet the Member" event of the fall at Rimadesio USA's Madison Avenue showroom.

On November 8 IACC hosted their sixth annual Luxury Summit, sponsored by KPMG.
The IACC's sixth annual Luxury Summit, explored the ever-changing luxury market through the lens of ESG and analyzed how the marketing of luxury brands has the unique challenge of balancing allure and reach.
Top luxury leaders and industry experts shared their knowledge and expertise with attendees in a series of interactive panel discussions. Participants had the opportunity to share know-how and network with fellow luxury professionals during the program.

On November 18th, 2023 several of our members joined us for a private tour of Magazzino Italian Art's new collection of Arte Povera at the newly inaugurated Robert Olnick Pavilion.
Members were treated to a tour of exhibitions by Mario Schifano: The Rise of the ‘60s, Ettore Spalletti: Parole di colore, and Carlo Scarpa: Timeless Masterpieces, with museum docents ready to answer any questions, followed by refreshments at cafe' Silvia.
