From June 3-7, 2019, Assocamerestero and the Italian Ministry for Economic Development welcomed a group of prominent food and lifestyle influencers from the NAFTA area to Umbria for a four-day educational tour highlighting authentic Italian products.
Jared Zuckerman (@eatandbefull), Owner and Founder of Food and City, a culinary-based food and media marketing company headquartered in New York City, took part in the trip, as did influencers from eight other Italian chambers located in the NAFTA area.
Influencers had the opportunity to visit a number of local producers and sample authentic specialty food products including: Pecorino Toscano PDO, Prosciutto di Norcia PGI, truffles, Umbria PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Umbrian chocolates and locally produced wines such as Montefalco Sagrantino CGDO, Montefalco Rosso CDO, and Umbria Bianco IGT.
The True Italian Taste Educational Tour in Umbria is part of the “True Italian Taste” project, funded by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and executed by Assocamerestero in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, in order to raise awareness of and safeguard authentic Italian food products. “True Italian Taste” is part of the “Extraordinary Italian Taste” initiative.
