On May 23rd, 2018 the Italy America Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefield held the "A Decade after the Great Recession" panel. During the event the panelists covered multiple facets of global economic outlook, a decade after “the great recession”.

Piaggio Group USA CEO, Mario di Maria, provided the session with valuable insights regarding the adaptation of the motorcycle industry to the advent of new, renewable technology, and modern urbanist policies in a reality as complicated as New York City’s.

Along similar lines, Loro Piana USA Ceo, Aldo Moschini, offered valuable insights towards the changing world of retail in the age of Amazon and automated deliveries, with a keen focus on the evolution of the high-end textile industry.

The dynamism of this novel economic landscape were further assessed under the lens of real estate by Cushman and Wakefield veteran Ken McCarthy, who tabled the enticing discussions of New York’s upcoming development projects and how they encapsulate the future of housing economics.

KPMG Chief Economist Constance Hunter provided, in context, a direct outlook at some of the key factors that she considers will maintain the economy away from recession for a few years more to come.

All the while, conversation, transition, and subject interrelation was mediated by the MFR’s brilliant Maria Fiorini Ramirez.
